UZMAR Delivers ‘EFES 10’ Tug to Its Own Fleet

UZMAR Shipyard announce the successful delivery of its latest state-of-the-art 85 Tonne Bollard Pull RAstar 2800 series tugboat, EFES 10, to UZMAR’s own fleet. Known for operating the most modern and powerful fleet in Turkiye, UZMAR continues to prioritise safety and innovation in Turkish ports by investing in advanced vessels to modernize its operations.

RAstar 2800 series EFES 10 is designed by the renowned Canadian naval architecture firm Robert Allan Ltd., and she represents a significant milestone in UZMAR Shipyard’s portfolio. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the tug has an exceptional performance and manoeuvrability enabling her to achieve an impressive bollard pull of 85 tonnes. This feature makes it the most powerful tugboat in their fleet.

In addition to her robust capabilities, EFES 10 reflects UZMAR’s unwavering commitment to sustainability. The vessel complies with IMO Tier III emissions standards, significantly reducing her environmental footprint and aligning with UZMAR’s vision for greener maritime operations. The tug is designed to excel in both port and offshore operations. Equipped with an aft towing winch and towing pin system, she is fully prepared for towage and emergency rescue missions, enhancing safety and reliability in critical situations.
