Auction – Sale of North East Safety Boats’ Marine Fleet and Assets

BPI Asset Advisory has been formally instructed by Begbies Traynor, the appointed liquidators of North East Safety Boats, to oversee the disposal of the company’s extensive fleet of marine and support equipment.

Operating from Hartlepool, North East Safety Boats was a trusted provider of specialist marine support services for over a decade. Known for delivering professional, versatile safety and workboat hire across the construction, renewables, nuclear and offshore sectors, the company was involved in some of the region’s most significant marine projects, including EDF’s Gravity Based Foundation project on the River Tyne and high-profile offshore wind developments.

The assets are now available via online auction, and include:
• Safety boats and RHIBs – including a 1991 Ajax Multicat Vessel, Artic 28 Cabin RHIB, Mk1 Rigid Raider vessels and more
• Inflatable and support vessels – such as Avon W400 and Fun Yak boats
• Vehicles – including a 2013 Ford Transit 125 T350 RWD Dropside, 2009 Ford Focus Zetec, and 2007 Ford Fiesta Derived Van
• Static welfare units – 24ft and 20ft
• A range of outboard engines (Mercury, Honda, Yamaha), generators, hoists and general marine workshop equipment
• Marine retail stock and pontoons

The auction will close on Thursday 10th July 2025 and all lots are located in Hartlepool (TS25).

A viewing day will be held on Wednesday 9th July between 9:00am and 1:00pm, strictly by prior appointment. To arrange a viewing, please contact Carol Allen at carol.allen@bpiaa.com.

This sale presents a rare opportunity to acquire a wide range of well-maintained marine support equipment from a company recognised as a leading provider in the safety boat hire and marine logistics sector.
