Contract for two hybrid patrol vessels to Germany

Baltic Workboats and Flotte Hamburg GmbH & Co. KG (100% subsidiary of Hamburg Port Authority) are delighted to announce the contract for construction of two new hybrid-propulsion patrol vessels.

Patrol 24 WP Hybrid and Patrol 29 WP Hybrid are designed for operation in the Port of Hamburg and within the EEZ of Germany in the North Sea. The patrol boats will be capable of fully electric zero-emission propulsion mode for two hours at a speed of 7 knots and for top speeds close to 30 knots. The boats will be designed with IMO III compliant exhaust systems to reduce emissions during operation. Special consideration is given to ergonomic work environment for the crew – for example, the patrol boats will have a wave-piercing hull design to reduce vertical accelerations in heavy seas and improve seakeeping characteristics of the vessels.

The total value of the contract is around 17 million EUR for two vessels and includes an option for an additional Patrol 24 WP Hybrid or Patrol 29 WP Hybrid.
