GONDAN delivers fourth Commissioning Service Operation Vessel for Edda Wind

GONDAN Shipbuilders is proud to announce the successful delivery of the Sudri Enabler, the fourth of six advanced Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOV) for Edda Wind. The Sudri Enabler will soon commence operations with a major international EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) contractor, supporting the installation of submarine cables that will deliver clean and renewable energy to thousands of homes in Northern Europe.

Designed by Salt Ship Design, the Sudri Enabler is an 88.3-meter long and 19.7-meter wide CSOV equipped with zero-emission technology. The Caterpillar Marine powered CSOV vessel offers accommodation for 120 people, including 97 technicians and 23 crew members. It features the most modern and automated equipment, ensuring efficiency and safety in operations. Key features include:

  • MacGregor 3D Compensated Offshore Crane: Ensuring precision and stability during heavy lifts
  • MacGregot 30 m Outreach Compensated Offshore Gangway: Providing safe and efficient personnel transfer
  • Integrated 26-Person Capacity Elevator: Enhancing accessibility within the vessel
  • 21-Metre Helipad: Facilitating quick and efficient transport of personnel and equipment

The Sudri Enabler is the first of two Commissioning Service Operation Vessels that GONDAN Shipbuilders will deliver this year. This delivery marks a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to supporting the offshore renewable energy sector with state-of-the-art vessels designed for optimal performance and sustainability.
