Uptime and Red Rock Partner On Integrated Offshore Systems

Uptime and Red Rock collaboration merges motion-compensated access with marine lifting technologies

Uptime International and Red Rock have signed a long-term framework agreement to jointly deliver integrated logistics and handling systems to the global maritime and offshore sectors.

The partnership brings together Uptime’s motion-compensated access and logistics solutions with Red Rock’s marine handling portfolio, including cranes, davits and associated equipment. By combining their respective technologies, the companies aim to offer a more complete and streamlined delivery model for vessel operators and offshore clients.

Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on project development, jointly market combined system packages, and align technical and commercial capabilities to target newbuild and retrofit opportunities worldwide.

Uptime and Red Rock aim to strengthen their market position as a single-source provider of deck-handling and logistics systems, supporting customers in improving operational efficiency and simplifying procurement across complex offshore operations.

“This partnership allows us to offer an integrated and highly competitive product portfolio to our customers,” said Arild Frøkedal, EVP, Uptime International AS. “Red Rock’s handling solutions complement Uptime’s access and logistics systems perfectly, enabling us to deliver more comprehensive maritime solutions.”

“We see significant potential in combining the strengths of both companies,” said Thomas Holte, CEO, Red Rock AS. “Our technology and expertise in marine handling systems align naturally with Uptime’s strong market presence and system integration capabilities. Together, we can deliver added value to shipowners, operators, and the maritime industry.”

The agreement establishes an exclusive relationship between the parties for the relevant scope. Both companies will continue to develop and improve their products, sharing relevant advancements with one another. The partnership also emphasizes joint support throughout the entire product lifecycle, including maintenance, troubleshooting, warranty handling, and aftermarket services for full life cycle.
