TSSM Takes Delivery of Second CSOV ‘TSS Cruiser’

New methanol-ready CSOV TSS Cruiser, expands Ta San Shang Marine’s offshore wind support capabilities in Taiwan

Taiwan offshore wind vessel owner Ta San Shang Marine(TSSM) has expanded its fleet with the delivery of the commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) TSS CRUISER from Damen Shipyards in Vietnam on May 4, 2026.

The newbuild vessel marks a significant milestone in the company’s continued commitment to supporting the rapid growth of offshore wind development in Taiwan and across Asia.

Building on the successful operations of TSS PIONEER since 2022, TSS CRUISER represents a major advancement in Ta San Shang Marine’s offshore wind support capabilities. The 90-metre CSOV has been purpose-built for offshore wind farm construction, commissioning and operations activities, offering high-quality accommodation for up to 120 personnel onboard.

To ensure safe and efficient offshore transfers, the vessel is equipped with an SMST motion-compensated walk-to-work gangway system, enabling technicians and project personnel to access offshore installations under challenging sea conditions.

The vessel also features an SMST 3D motion-compensated knuckle boom crane and optimized deck space specifically designed to support offshore construction and commissioning campaigns.

In line with the industry’s transition toward lower-emission operations, TSS CRUISER is equipped with a methanol-ready diesel-battery hybrid power generation system, reinforcing Ta San Shang Marine’s commitment to sustainable offshore operations.

TSSM is a joint venture between Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and Ta Tong Marine.
